"The Association for Union Democracy was a crucial support system for myself and my colleagues at Bricklayers Local 23. Over the course of two years, we tirelessly fought to have a constitution ratified that truly reflected the values and needs of our membership. In our pursuit of this goal, we banded together as Bricklayers for Change and were met with an overwhelming amount of support from members across our local, spanning four states. Throughout our journey, the Association for Union Democracy provided us with invaluable guidance and advice whenever we reached out to them."

"The Association for Union Democracy was a lifeline for me and my colleagues at Pratt Institute as we fought for a democratic leadership election in our union, UFCT 1460. We had organized overwhelming support to bring in new leadership, but the incumbent - who had been in office over 20 years - refused to accept new members into the union. With AUD's help, we ensured that all workers could become members and vote. We won our election, but more importantly, our membership has nearly doubled. I knew how to organize, but I was in over my head about my legal rights. For workers like me, there is no other organization in the country to turn to. AUD is essential."
