It has come to our attention that late AUD co-founder Clyde Summers was mentioned in an article about Jock Yablonski’s 1969 campaign for the UMW presidency, written by Yablonski’s son, Joseph A. “Chip” Yablonski, and published in the Spring 2010 issue of the Labor and Working Class History Association’s newsletter. Summers is credited with writing model bylaws that were implemented by every UMW local.
